Get to know me…

My health and fitness journey really began at 16 years old when I was competing in the Miss North Carolina Teen USA pageant and my coach and mentor introduced me to the importance of caring for yourself, using pure and safe products, and always being willing to step outside of your comfort zone for self betterment! My love for health and fitness only grew from there and in 2016 when I was in college majoring in Exercise Science at the University of North Carolina Wilmington I started my fitness social media platform, Blaruefit, and really began delving into the importance of living a healthy well balanced lifestyle both physically and mentally. I began sharing my journey in hopes to inspire others to make healthy changes in their lives too. After graduation I began personal coaching individuals in health and fitness and showing them that anything is possible when you decide to take action make a change!

I took my journey to a whole new level in 2017 when I decided to compete in my first NPC bodybuilding competition and have since competed 6 more times taking first place at the NPC Johnny Stewart Fitness Classic.

This journey has been a blessing but let me tell you it has not all been sunshine and roses. After my second season of competing I decided to take a step back from the stage in 2018 to work on some personal improvements. To my surprise my body was burnt out more than I knew and I began to pay the consequences. I struggled with rapid weight gain, adrenal fatigue, hormonal imbalances, and was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Not only was this a physical battle for me but even more so a mental battle. I had to become comfortable with being uncomfortable, accept a couple extra pounds that didn't used to be there, trust the journey of finding a healthy balance again, and put work in every single day to look in the mirror and love the woman I was becoming. It took me a year and a half to of being consistent with my nutrition and training, learning about the importance of what we put into our bodies, and daily mindset work, to be where I am today. Through this I have seen all spectrums of coaches and learned the importance of really finding a coach that cares for you, cares about your health, and wants to see you succeed.

I want to build a team of women who are driven and want to not only empower themselves but empower and support others to never be complacent, always be willing to grow, and build the life of their dreams! If you want to be a part of my team contact me!

xoxo,
Britni LaRue
